It’s fitting, really, that we get our first official look at Panini America’s upcoming 2015-16 National Treasures
on the same day that NBA All-Star 2016 festivities tip off in Toronto.
After all, National Treasures Basketball is an every-year All-Star
a no-doubt-about-it candidate for MVP (Most Valuable Product) honors every time it comes out.
But when 2015-16 National Treasures arrives in hobby shops in early May, it will do so packing a few all-new twists
to accompany the bevy of brand tenets that have made National Treasures something of a national collecting icon.

Hoops enthusiasts can start gearing up for the release of 2015-16 Panini National Treasures and the early buzz is strong yet again
with the presence of the ever-popular Rookie Patch Autographs
and prime memorabilia content that the brand has become known for in recent years.
Base Set
There is one base card or parallel in each box of 2015-16 Panini National Treasures
and the base set will almost certainly be made up of a mix of current NBA stars and legends.
Traditionally, one of the biggest draws for this release are the Rookie Patch Autographs
and once again, they will be limited to either 49 or 99 copies along with Silver (/25), Gold (/10), Emerald (/5), and Logoman (one-of-one).
Once it hits hobby stores on May 4, collectors are going to find 10 cards in each box
and a whopping eight of them will have either autographs, a piece of memorabilia, or even both.
Keep reading to find out more.
Memorabilia
As expected, 2015-16 Panini National Treasures is yet again the home of prime memorabilia hits
and Panini has added a new concept to the brand’s lineup that has some historical significance.
NBA Finals Nameplate is expected to have the biggest names from the Golden State Warriors
and Cleveland Cavaliers that faced each other last season and the secondary market action
on these unique one-of-one cards should be intense.
Patches are prominently featured in a few other memorabilia collections
which include Material Treasures, Treasured Tags, and Logoman.
Autographs
While only a small amount of information has been released regarding autograph content in 2015-16 Panini National Treasures ,
there is a compelling International Treasures collection which takes a look at the best veterans, rookies,
and legend that came from around the world to star in the NBA.
Additionally, Panini will take advantage of its relationship with USA Basketball once again here and the hobby
reaps the benefits with USA Basketball Jersey Autographs and the memorabilia pieces were worn during international competition.
On average, each 10-card box of 2015-16 National Treasures will deliver eight autograph or memorabilia cards,
one Printing Plate 1/1 and one base or parallel card. The product also will introduce a few wrinkles to the NT legacy, including,
for the first time ever, cards featuring full letters from nameplates worn during the 2015 NBA Finals.

Once the ultimate option in the collecting world, 2015-16 Panini National Treasures is now one of many high-end hobby options.
Nevertheless, NT still carries plenty of clout with collectors and offers the top rookie cards of the year.
Each hobby box includes eight total hits.
Limited from top to bottom, 2015-16 Panini National Treasures is a detailed release but with a focus on quality.
Base cards and parallels combine to average one per box.
The main draw for most, Rookie Patch Autographs (#/99 or #/49) feature top 2015 NBA draftees
with a horizontal design, large patch and on-card autograph.
RPA parallels include Silver (#/25) Gold (#/10), Emerald (#/5) and one-of-one Logoman.
Among the other premium options are a mix of autographs and relics.
On the signed side of things, International Treasures Autographs focus on players
with a foreign background while USA Basketball Jersey Autographs cover the elite stateside names that populate the national team.
Memorabilia relic options include Logoman, Material Treasures and Treasured Tags for rookies, veterans and legends.
Making their NT debut, NBA Finals Nameplate relics feature full letter patches worn
in the 2015 NBA Finals, including options for Stephen Curry.
