It’s also going to give basketball
collectors another chance at more chrome.
Hobby boxes have three total autographs
and memorabilia cards.
There’s also an average of one Prizms parallel per pack,
which is where a lot of the color comes into play.
Panini America officials recently sent out
preliminary Product Information Solicitations
for several exciting new products coming soon
to a hobby shop or online retailer near you.
Today, we’re sharing that same information
with you here on The Knight’s Lance, this time
featuring the Prizm-powered Select.
In the extensive product preview below, we’ll showcase
a bevy of preliminary images from the upcoming
2020-21 Select as well as the product’s Hobby

2020-21 Select will bring its usual
array of splashy colors on shiny stock.
2020-21 Select Checklist Overview
The Select base set is once again divided into three
different sections, each with their own tweaked designs :
Concourse, Premier Level and Courtside.
Concourse are the most common.
Every hobby pack averages one card
from either of the other two tiers.
Premier Level are “uncommon”
with ten per box while Courtside
are “rare,” landing just two per box.
2020-21 Select Base / Prizms Parallels
Select hobby boxes offer 12 packs
with five cards per pack.
Cases hold 12 boxes.
Each box should hold three autographs
or memorabilia cards
and 12 Prizm cards along with the base cards.
Speaking of the latter, Panini is keeping the three-tier
concept for the base set, with Concourse, Premier
and Courtside.
Each box should have two of the tougher
Courtside cards and 10 Premier Level.
There will be a bunch of parallel versions
in in 2020-21 Select.
Courtside base parallels will feature :
Silver, Scope, Tri-Color, Light Blue, Red, White,
Neon Green, Tie-Dye, Gold, Green, Black and Zebra.
Premier Level will have Silver, Scope, Tri-Color, Blue,
Maroon, Purple, Orange, Tie-Dye, Gold, Green, Black
and Zebra parallels and Courtside will include Silver,
Gold, Green, Tie-Dye, Black and Zebra.
Featuring Concourse, Premier Level
(10 per Hobby box)
and Courtside (2 per Hobby box) subsets,
2020-21 Select makes use of a tiered base set.
All Prizm parallels combine
to average one per Hobby pack.
Besides the different designs, the Prizms parallels
for each tier is also slightly different.

2020-21 Select Inserts
New insert cards this year
include En Fuego and Unstoppable.
Artistic Selection features a color image
of a player in the foreground
with a shaded non-color background.
There are parallels here, too, including some 1/1s.
Amping up the designs even more are the insert
choices, including the returning Artistic Selections.
Debut inserts include En Fuego and Unstoppable.
These come in a few different parallels, as well.

in Rookie Jersey Autographs
with Base (#/199), Purple (#/99),

Rookie Signature cards is another way
to land signed cards of Anthony Edwards,
LaMelo Ball, Tyrese Haliburton, etc.
In Flight Signatures will include some
of the NBA’s high flyers like Julius Erving.
There will be plenty of parallel
versions for all autograph content.
While Select is a line with ample autographs,
most of the themes are pretty straight forward.
Rookie Signatures and Rookie Jersey
Autographs highlight first-year players.
In Flight Signatures, a staple of modern Select sets,
returns with a new batch of past and present players.
Like the base set, there are additional
color-based parallels for all three of these.
As far as other inserts go, Artistic
Selections makes its return.
En Fuego, which has its roots in ’90s
baseball, makes the jump to Select.
Unstoppable is also new.
Rarer Rookie Jersey Autographs cards
also get an upgrade with prime swatches.
Beyond that, the 2020-21 Select
checklist continues with hits.
First-year players occupy the Rookie Jersey
Autographs (#/199) and Rookie Signatures lines.
