one of the game’s most venerable all-stars, 2013-14 Elite Basketball,
returns to the court packing many of the staples that have made it such a venerable favorite through the years while also delivering some new twists.
Each hobby box of 2013-14 Elite Basketball (20 packs per box, five cards per pack)
will include two autographs, two memorabilia cards, two numbered Rookie Cards
and two numbered Legends. In addition, this year’s installment features the triumphant return of Passing the Torch Signatures
(one of the industry’s favorite dual-signed inserts)
and six different inserts with prime parallels numbered to 25 or less (including Rookie Essentials, Throwback Threads and Back to the Future).

Gold and Black parallels numbered to 25 and 1, respectively, in Elite Status, Elite Series
and the all-new Face 2 Face and Franchise Future inserts.
Look for autographs from the 2013 NBA Rookie Class in the New Breed subset that includes both base and prime-memorabilia versions.
The return of the brand’s wildly popular Status die-cut parallels, including Black 1/1s.

Elite is one of the oldest brands in the Panini portfolio. Foil base cards, die-cut parallels and numbered rookie cards have long been part of the mix.
They all return in 2013-14 Panini Elite Basketball. Hobby boxes deliver a pair of autographs, two memorabilia cards and two rookie cards.
The 2013-14 Panini Elite Basketball base set isn't fairly simple. While rookie cards and the Legends subset are numbered,
they don't come with pricey autographs.
That makes it a challenge, but an attainable and moderately affordable one. Parallels include
Status die-cuts that come in several colors and numbered as low as 1/1 for Black.
New Breed spotlights autographs of 2013-14 rookies.
The cards have memorabilia and Prime memorabilia versions.
Additional memorabilia options include Back to the Future, Rookie Essentials and Throwback Threads.
Passing the Torch Signatures are one of the most recognized names in the hobby for dual autographs.
Not surprisingly, they're part of the returning mix as well.
The cards come with two autographs, a long-time veteran or retired star on the front and a young star on the back.
Although there is nothing game-changing in 2013-14 Panini Elite Basketball, the release does have a couple of new inserts
at least names that are new to Elite basketball: Face 2 Face and Franchise Future.
