Like its debut, the checklist puts an acetate
spin on the year’s main Donruss clearly set.
That means a distinctly different feel
and a see-through appearance.
It also opens up the opportunities
for new parallel takes.
And while there are autographs on the checklist,
they’re not the primary focus.
In fact, they’re not among
the hobby box guarantees.
Each four-pack box has three
parallels and one insert.

in the earlier 2020-21 Donruss
and chromium Donruss Optic sets.
The layout’s the same and there’s
plenty of overlap in the players.
The big difference
is in the presentation.
Acetate is a plastic-like stock.
Cards are hard, clear and have
a more high-end approach.
Being a Donruss set, it shouldn’t come as
a surprise that the Rated Rookies
subset makes the jump.
Among the parallels are :
Gold, Purple, Blue, Red, Green,
Holo Silver, Holo Gold and Holo Platinum.
There’s also Holo Mosaic versions that,
according to Panini, are extremely tough pulls.
These have a background pattern that’s similar
to the namesake parallels in Mosaic.

There is also one insert expected in each
Hobby box of 2020-21 Clearly Donruss.
Choices consist of acetate versions, with parallels,
for Dominant, My House, The Rookies,
Star Gazing and Zero Gravity.
A new insert to chase is Retro Rated Rookie,
which looks back at the rookie cards for top names.

2020-21 Clearly Donruss returns
after making its debut last season.
This product is all about the acetate-style card
stock that makes the cards a bit transparent.
The cards will include images from
previously released Donruss and Donruss Optic.
Panini says each box of Clearly Donruss
will have four packs with five cards per pack
and 12 boxes per case.
Among the 20 cards in each box will be
three parallels and at least one insert.
Clearly Rated Rookie Autographs
will showcase the top rookies
from the 2020-21 class including Anthony Edwards,
LaMelo Ball, James Wiseman and others.
Parallel versions will include Red,
Green and Holo Platinum.
Insert sets such as My House, The Rookies,
Zero Gravity, Dominan
and Star Gazing also come over
from the standard Donruss-branded issues along
with the all-new Retro Rated Rookies
(see the 2018-19 Luka Dončić below).
Both will have a wide range of different
parallels, including extremely rare Holographic
and Holographic Mosaic versions.

is pretty much the same, with the standout difference
in presentation and material taking
the cards to a whole new level.
Acetate, a plastic-like card stock, will produce cards
that are hard and clear, with a more substantial
and higher-end feeling.
These clear acetate cards from the Donruss
and Donruss Optic brands are a distinctive addition,
including insert sets such as :
My House, Zero Gravity, Dominant
and the fresh Retro Rated Rookies.
Plus rather rare Holographic and Holographic Mosaic versions
can be found within Base cards, Rated Rookies
and Inserts across a wide range of parallels
but will be exceptionally tough to pull.
The Retro Rated Rookie will be gamely chased by fans,
as will the Clearly Rated Rookie Autographs cards
featuring signatures from Anthony Edwards,
LaMelo Ball and James Wiseman, among others.
2020-21 Clearly Donruss Autographs
Most of the 2020-21 Clearly Donruss inserts
port over from Donruss and Donruss Optic.
These include Dominant, My House,
The Rookies, Star Gazing and Zero Gravity.
New this year are Clearly Retro Rated Rookie cards.
These take Rated Rookies from the past
and give them the acetate treatment.
Inserts have a similar mix
of parallels as the base set.
As for signatures, they come in the form
of Clearly Rated Rookie Autographs.
Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball and James Wiseman
are among those signing for the set.
The 2020-21 Clearly Donruss checklist is still
not done, however, as fans can hunt down

Parallels include Red, Green

The Basics :
Collectors can expect three parallels

for this one this time, but there will be
